The aim of Jaden is to provide an automated development environment for neural networks. It will allow networks to be developed, trained and analysed, with emphasis on automation of topography selection.
Successful creation and training of a neural network typically requires lot of experimentation to select the best topography and internal connections. Jaden will provide a variety of selection and training features that will reduce the amount of manual interaction typically required in creating a neural network to solve a particular problem.
Also, once a network has been developed, it is often difficult to understand how a network actually solves a problem. Jaden will provide a number of feautures to help analyse a network so that the solution can be comprehended.
Version 1 of Jaden is a partial implementation of the over all goal. It allows a project to be defined and saved. It also allows a neural network to be manually trained and analysed.
Future versions will provide automated topography selection and training, as well as enhanced network analysis.
Jaden is written in a programming language called Java. Java must be installed for Jaden to run.
Jaden is being iteratively developed at SourceForge. Releases contain a full user guide in PDF format, and examples. There are forum, tracking and download facilities available. If you find issues, think of enhancements or wish to contribute to Jaden, please get in touch.
